it is in Rennes that begins the artistic career of the one we start to nickname "DPG".
Live performances, videos and installations enrich his work and form a singular universe around urban culture, in line with the neo-pop art.
Sensitive to consumer society, Damien Paul GAL denounces it through a special technique: the thermoforming of polymer materials, to highlight the idea of consumerism through this symbol, the plastic materials. This is the challenge which meets the artist, to be able to produce strong and high colors works.
Damien-Paul Gal quickly integrated the codes of the XXI century. He communicates to us a series of messages. Some are political: opposition to violence and totalitarian regimes. Others are more sensitive and involve his attraction to women, youth clichés or comics.
